Antrim County is Hiring a Corrections Officer Near Bellaire, MI

Antrim County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a full-time Corrections Deputy. Starting pay for a non-certified Corrections Deputy is $19.09 per hour with a 10% increase once candidate has completed the Corrections Academy within one year; Academy is paid for by the Sheriff’s Office. Certified Corrections Deputies starting pay is $21.21/hour plus benefits including pension. Current Certified Corrections Deputies wages increase to $25.07 after 3 years of employment.

In order to qualify a candidate must meet the Michigan Sheriffs’ Coordinating and Training Council pre-employment minimum standards for mental and physical fitness – see information at www.misctc.org. These tests must be completed prior to interviewing for the Corrections Deputy position. All applicants must pass an extensive background check.
